2. To check your installation, remove the spark plug from the engine and install the spark plug in the cap.
If the spark plug is not grounded in the cap you can damage the pulse switch!
Connect the engine module to the pulse switch and the battery.
Turn the ignitions on.
Turn the engine over slowly and you should see or hear the spark
before the engine passes through to dead center.
If you do not get a spark after you have installed the ignition
system, follow the trouble shooting info on the installation
instructions.
3. Carefully install the ignition system in the model following all the installation instructions.
This is how we start out gas fueled engines with CDI ignition systems.
1.
Use a glove or a chicken stick. With ignition switch on, throttle
cracked, model restrained and full choke, flip until the engine pops
then open the choke.
Crank normally until it starts usually 3 or 4 flips.
You do not need to slap the prop.
2. To stop the engine just turn the ignition switch off.
Always carefully range check any new ignition installation, with both engine running and engine not running.
There should be less than a 10% reduction in range.
You can also have a vibration induced problem in the receiver that acts like RFI but isn't.
The Zenoah 20-26 are not real big engines but they can still cause a lot of harm so ALWAYS PRACTICE SAFETY.
